STUPEFLIP : NOUVEAU SPECTAC + DJ SET
22:00 Stup Disco Sound System
The evening will be closed with a diabolical and destructive DJ set by Dr Vince on the turntables with lyrics by King Ju and VJing by Cadillac.
Punk, rap and variety! Stupeflip has evolved in a dramatic, mysterious and extremely visual universe. On stage, the group puts on an infernal show retracing the mythical history of the CROU, an enigmatic organisation aiming to terrorise the population into beginning a new era: the era of Stup. Their concert at the Rockhal on 6 December 2012 will inevitably move you because this apocalyptic boy band is returning with a new album and a new show, closing the evening with a diabolical and destructive DJ set.
Composed of 894 members, Stupeflip has three principal actors: Kingju, the brains, Mc Salo, the nerves and Cadillac the arm of steel. Their music can be described as a strange mix of disconcerting small samples, immature loops, intoxicating rhythms and insistent airs. The group deploys a mythology where it stands as its “extension”: this is the CROU, a sort of kindly Al-Quaida.
After 35,000 copies sold of the album “The Hypnoflip Invasion” (3rd album), a triumphal tour of 46 concerts to a total audience of more than 80,000 in 2011, the invasion continues in 2012 as Stupeflip is returning with a live show in the autumn, with the release of a DVD and Maxi planned for 17 September 2012.
The legendary “Crou stupeflip” offers a great Stupeflip evening at the Rockhal! A new and intense “concert-show” will aim to transport the audience instantaneously into a stupefying universe: with a science fiction ambiance, medieval sectarian imagery, theatrical atmospheres, the Crou are ready to make some major revelations on the subject of the “Stup Era” … the dumbfounded audience will then continue the Stupeflip experience with a diabolical DJ set provided by Dr Vince, Kingju and Cadillac.
Whether you are reassured or terrorised by the idea of meeting these performers straight out of a science fiction or cartoon series or the imaginary films of our childhood, it is beyond doubt that you will not leave untouched. This group just have to be seen on stage at the Rockhal on 6 December!
