THE LEMONHEADS - It's A Shame About Ray

On 27 April 2012, one of the legends of 80/90's indie rock, The Lemonheads, will hit the stage of the Rockhal. The band will be playing " It's a shame about Ray " in its entirely alongside other Lemonheads songs. A must for all of their fans and as well a unique opportunity to (re-)discover them!
Evan Griffith Dando formed The Lemonheads with two high school buddies in late winter '86. A few months later, they spawned what is now one of the most sought-after punk relics of the 80s, the indie EP" Laughing All the Way to the Cleaners". Mainstream media hype of The Lemonheads shifted into high gear directly and The Lemonheads kicked off !
The fifth album of The Lemonheads, " It's a shame about Ray " was an international success who has been classified as one of the best albums of the 90s by Pitchfork's Media. It was reissued with a cover of " Mrs. Robinson ", originally by Simon & Garfunkel which was released as a single.
Since his return in 2005, with the project of The Lemonheads that was stopped 9 years ago, Evan Griffith Dando, recorded 2 others albums whose the first included the name of the band to mark the event. That album showed some collaboration with special guests like Garth Hudson and J Mascis on selected tracks. With the last album " Varshons " in 2009, it was the turn of artists like Gram Parsons, Wire, GG Allin and Christina Aguilera.
This concert will not be the occasion of a retrospective of the latest album but a return to the basics for the greatest pleasure of their fans. A tour that is already a huge success in the United States will now capture you as it comes to Luxembourg. On 27 April 2012, you need to be part of this concert of a band that influenced musicians now since more than two decades!
