SCREAMING FIELDS STARTS WITH NEW CONCEPT

It's a new edition and a new concept: Since it's beginnings the festival is dedicated to serve as a platform for young emerging talents in Luxembourg. It's in this logic that the 6th edition now addresses itself directly to the students of all secondary schools in Luxembourg.

They have the possibility to represent, whether as a band or an solo project, their school on the stage of the Rockhal on the 5th June. And it's their schoolmates and friends who will decide on their success, because it's no jury that selects the bands for the final line-up, but a voting system installed on the community platform zap.lu.

The most voted band / artist per school will be part of the festival's line-up. So every participating band has not only to prepare themselves in the best possible way for their live performance but also has to work hard on their promotion campaign in order to get the most votes and thus to get their chance to perform live.

Inscriptions have started on 1st of February and will be possible until 15th March.
Voting on www.zap.lu/screamingfields starts on 1st of March and ends on 28th April.
The results of this voting will define the festival line-up for the 5th June.

The festival partners will award the following prices for the participating bands:

Jonk Entrepreneuren Luxembourg asbl: best marketing and promotion campaign
Service National de la Jeunesse (SNJ): best live performance
SACEM Luxembourg: best composition

MIKA’s management has informed us that they are constrained to change the date of the band’s performance in Luxembourg.

Pop sensation MIKA will now hit the Rockhal on Saturday May 8th, 2010.

All tickets already bought for the initially scheduled show on April 2nd remain valid for the new date of May 8th.

NOUVELLE DATE POUR LE CONCERT D'EROS RAMAZOTTI

La Rockhal vient d'être informé par l'organisateur que le concert initialement prévu pour le 2 novembre doit être reporté:

"Le management d’Eros Ramazzotti vient de nous informer qu’ils doivent changer le planning de la première semaine de la tournée mondiale de l’artiste. De ce fait la date du concert au Rockhal (Esch/Alzette, Luxembourg) sera avancée au DIMANCHE, le 25 octobre 2009, 20.30 heures.

Aucune objection de rembourser lorsque les clients ont déjà d’autres projets le 25 octobre, mais il faudrait le faire avant le 31 août 2009 .

Les billets vendus garderont leur validité."

PRACTICAL INFORMATION FOR THE KATY PERRY CONCERT

So that we can best prepare the Rockhal venue for the concert of KATY PERRY on Monday we would like to remind you of the following:

Doors will open at 19.00 hrs, the show will start at 20.00 hrs.

Additional trains for the show - stop "Belval Université (Rockhal)"

The Rockhal strongly recommends to make use of the public transport: it's free and definitely more comfortable!

As for all big shows here at the Rockhal, the CFL provides free and comfortable transport by train for holders of a valid ticket for this show: Line 60 “Luxembourg-Bettembourg-Esch/Alzette-Pétange”, which provides a direct connection to the concert hall every 30 minutes ("Belval Université (Rockhal)"). Please note that the last trains linking the Rockhal to the City of Luxembourg via Esch/Alzette leave at 23.40 and 00.10. The last train to Rodange leaves at 00.18. You need not more than 5 minutes from the train stop to the Rockhal.

The train schedule also makes sure that you can come home safely after the show, so make use of it: avoid the traffic jam, save gazoline, drink a few beer here (as you don't have to drive) and save the planet!

Park + Ride: Parking Monkeler and Cactus Hobbi closed

To make the journey to the Rockhal as comfortable as possible and to avoid any annoyance concerning parking, the Rockhal provides access to several car parks outside the Belval site, for instance at Trefilarbed Schifflange and at Cactus Esch/Alzette (stop: Kiersch Lalleng). Shuttle buses run at regular intervals to the concert hall, dropping you off not more than 200m from the Rockhal. The shuttle buses will be running from 17.00 hrs to 01.00 hrs.

FREIER EINTRITT zu den 24 Heures Electroniques

Um den ursprünglichen Gedanken der Steelparade zu bewahren, hat die Rockhal beschlossen, dass der Eintritt zu den 24 Heures Electroniques frei sein wird.

Diejenigen, die ihre Eintrittskarten bereits gekauft haben, können sie am 11. Juli am Info-Stand an der Rockhal zurückerstatten.

One Parade, one party, one place!

„The Parade is saved, the Red Lion is back to life!” Diese frohe Nachricht haben wir mit unverhohlener Freude vernommen. Die Steelparade findet nun doch am kommenden 11. Juli in Belval statt. Und, noch besser: Sie wird ins Konzept der 24 Heures Electroniques integriert und dauert so in der Main Hall der Rockhal bis zum Morgen!

Gemeinsam ist man stark, und so haben die 24 Heures Electroniques und die Steelparade beschlossen, sich zusammenzutun, um aus dem Event einen unvergesslichen Tag zu machen. So werden die Lastwagen der Steelparade gegen 22 Uhr die Main Hall der Rockhal umzingeln. Von diesem Moment an wird im Anschluss an die Parade eine Auswahl von DJs das Zepter in die Hand nehmen und bis zum Morgengrauen für Stimmung sorgen.

Und das ist noch nicht alles! Um den ursprünglichen Gedanken der Steelparade zu bewahren, hat die Rockhal ebenfalls beschlossen, dass der Eintritt zu den 24 Heures Electroniques frei sein wird.

Aber aufgepasst: Auch wenn in die Main Hall wohl alle Künstler und Teilnehmer der Steelparade hineinpassen werden, gilt das durchaus nicht für die Kapazitäten des Clubs, dessen Line-up sich nicht ändert. Am Abend des 11. Juli könnt ihr dort in der einmaligen Atmosphäre des Clubs den deutschen Superstar Chris Liebing, Monoloc, The Subs, Elektrash und viele andere erleben.

Wenn ihr die Auftritte der Künstler der 24 Heures Electroniques nicht verpassen wollt, müsst ihr unbedingt ein Gratis-Ticket haben. Diese Gratis-Tickets können in den nächsten Tagen bei unseren verschiedenen Medienpartnern sowie am 11. Juli während der Steelparade abgeholt werden – natürlich nur, solange der Vorrat reicht.

Due to logistical reasons, we had to move the show from the Main Hall to the Club. Nevertheless, due to the ongoing ticket demand, we decided to increase the capacity in making the concert “standing” instead of a seated configuration. All tickets remain valid. The ticket holders that are not pleased with this new situation can get their ticket(s) refunded at the point of sale where they bought the ticket(s).

Entrance to the Rockhal

The holders of e-tickets (bought via www.e-ticket.lu) need to get their hard tickets before entering the Rockhal. The exchange will only be possible from 17.30 hrs on, at the counter opposite the concert hall.

Please note, that for your safety, everybody will be searched at the door before entering the Rockhal by security agents.

There will be no cloakroom for this show.

PARKING POUR PAOLO CONTE

Comme pour tout les grands concerts organisés à la Rockhal, les CFL organisent le transport gratuit pour tout les spectateurs en possession d'un ticket de concert valable. Les horaires normaux sont en vigueur et consultables sur le site web des CFL.

PARK + RIDE : non disponible

Les différents P+R pour les concerts Main Hall ne seront pas ouverts ce dimanche. Vous pouvez utiliser le parking sur le site de Belval et venir à pied jusqu’à la Rockhal.

TRANSPORT PUBLIC & PARKING POUR SIMPLY RED

Comme pour tout les grands concerts organisés à la Rockhal, les CFL organisent le transport gratuit pour tout les spectateurs en possession d'un ticket de concert.

En dehors les horaires normaux, un train supplémentaire au départ de Luxembourg gare est prévu pour 18h50 (arrivée à "Belval Université" à 19h17).

Nous vous rappelons qu'avec les trains supplémentaires votre retour à la maison est normalement assuré.

PARK & RIDE : PARKING MONKELER non disponible

Le parking Monkeler destiné habituellement au P+R lors des concerts Main Hall ne sera pas disponible pour acceuillir des voitures et ceci pour une durée indéterminée.

D'autres parkings sont disponibles: Trefilarbed à Schifflange et au Cactus de Lallange (stop: Kiersch Lalleng / rue Aloyse Meyer). Des navettes passent à intervalles réguliers pour rejoindre la salle de concert et faire un arrêt à la station Belval-Université à quelques mètres de la Rockhal.
