!!!, pronounced tchik tchik tchik, are an American band which is the precursor of the disco-punk-funk sound that brought the new millennium’s rock music up to speed. After several disappointments, the creators of the overwhelming “Hearts of Hearts” come back to Luxembourg on 30th November to heat up the Rockhal Club’s dance floor.

There is a whole story about this name: !!! Despite the pressure coming from their labels (Touch & Go and Warp), the band members refused to abandon “chk chk chk”, which gives a lot of Google search results! But above all, there is their powerful, energetic, incredibly danceable music which alternates between guitars and machines, between good and bad taste.

It’s a grasping experiment with kraut rock and white noise, disco and sick dance floor, and dub-hypnotized electronica. In brief, with their band members coming from hard core, electro and rock, !!! are the precursors of a quite paradoxical style: disco punk… No one before dared to mix aggressive sounds with committed lyrics and a danceable and funky rhythm. !!! just did it.

Even though they’re the prototype of a cool and up-to-date band, !!! had to question and reconstruct themselves after their brilliant drummer was killed in an accident. After their three albums released since 2000, the new dancing bombshell is expected for late August, the singles “AM/FM” is already on rotation and radiant and roaring as ever.

Nevertheless, the stage is where !!! show their whole potential, they seem to fire rhythm and contagious energy at the audience from a machine gun. Singer Zébulon Nic Offer’s performance is absolutely matchless. Without any doubt, !!! are back, and believe us, your hips are going to remember this 30th November 2010 at the Rockhal Club!
