Do four Australians who play powerful, fat rock music that smells like dry ground in the blazing sun remind you of something? Right: Airbourne are a spiritual offspring of AC/DC, and they’ll play at the Rockhal in 2010. Prepare for guitars and a band that is very willing to make you have a good time.

Police officers from Warrnambool, Australia stopped counting the times they had to stop by at the O’Keeffe’s and tell the two brothers to turn their amps down. Dozens of concerts later, the band has moved to Melbourne, rented a house and started repeating regularly and playing in almost every bar of the city.

Their first album in 2004 earned massive response from the media. The band instantly got booked for supporting shows for important bands such as the Rolling Stones and Mötley Crüe.

In 2006 things went even faster for Airbourne. They flew to the States and under the wings of Bob Marlette (Ozzy Osbourne, Alice Cooper, Seether…) and Andy Wallace, they recorded “Runnin’ wild”, their second album, which was released on Roadrunner Records.

After a marathon world tour which, amongst others, sold out four times in France, the band has now returned to the studio to prepare “No guts, no glory”, their third album, which should be released in February, 2010, and which will certainly not pass unnoticed!

Stand up for rock and roll!
