Arch Enemy is the spearhead of the new generation of metal. Thanks to its incredible live performances, this band has seduced a very large audience. With their highly charismatic lead singer, Angela Gossow, the Swedes will come to the Rockhal on 1st April, 2010, accompanied by Samael from Switzerland! Horns high!

In 1995, Michael Amott, the former guitarist of Carcass, formed a new band: Arch Enemy. They quickly found their place in the European metal scene. The beginnings were promising, especially the album “Stigmata” – first of a very nice series released on their label, Century Media. After that, a strategic change in their line-up: in 2001, Johan Liiva, who was the singer of the band, was replaced by the cute Angela Gossow.

With only one album (“Wages of sin” in 2001), the former journalist from Germany convinced everyone. The band transcends to another level and participates in an anthology tour together with Motörhead and Slayer the same year.

In 2007, the album “Rise of the tyrant” increased the pressure a little bit more and Arch Enemy became the flagship of what’s called “metal made in Scandinavia”. Later, they teamed up with Machine Head, Dragonforce and Trivium for The Black Crusade Tour, which would lead them through Europe and a great part of the rest of the world.

In 2009, Arch Enemy released “The root of all evil”, a compilation of extracts of the three first albums which were recorded again for the occasion.
Next year comes the next part of the tour; and this time, they’ll also stop in Luxembourg.

The band will announce a guest for this tour very soon. Nevertheless, we are proud to announce already that Miles to Perdition from Luxembourg will open the concert on 1st April 2010 at the Rockhal. A just reward for this very promising band...
