The French rock band Dionysos is known for turning the stage into its playing field. On 13 April 2012, Mathias Malzieu and his accomplices are going to stop over at the Rockhal and give you the opportunity to discover the songs from their new album, which will be released next spring. The new opus is going to be a perfect opportunity for all fans to reconnect with this Valence-based band's enormous and emblematic rock energy.

After four years spent as an insider's tip, Dionysos, headed by Mathias Malzieu and his charismatic voice and incredible stage presence, announce the launch of their new album at their web site. They specify that "after a break which was necessary to deal with some other projects, we have now returned to the studio for rehearsal". It will be their seventh studio album, four years after "La mécanique du cœur" (2007) and two years after the release of their compilation of rare and unpublished songs named "Dionysos Eats Music! ".

All members of Dionysos have lead and concretised their own projects during the last years. Band leader Mathias Malzieu has recently published his new novel " Métamorphose en bord de ciel ". Violin player Babet has released her solo album "Piano monstre" in September, Rico and Stephan have mounted anew garage rock band: "Corleone".

Mixing rock, pop and folk without any complexes, they tell deceitful stories, full of poetry and stuffed with imagination, like children inventing adventures only with a stick of wood and a cardboard box. Without any doubt, the band owes its success to their live performance and the inspiration their universe draws from Tim Burton's films and Roald Dahl's books. Their English and French lyrics tell the story of this surrealistic universe.

On 13 April 2012, Dionysos will haunt the Rockhal Club's audience. For your information, Dionysos have intentionally chosen smaller venues like the Club of the Rockhal. So make sure to get your tickets in time because the capacity is limited to 500 persons.
