JARVIS COCKER

Former vocalist with the brilliant British group Pulp, for many years now Jarvis Cocker has followed an exemplary solo career, musically rather close to what he did with Pulp. He’ll be at the Rockhal on 3 June next!
Albeit an atypical person, for a good dozen years Jarvis Cocker was the brain behind Pulp, a British group which was phenomenally successful in the Nineties, in particular with the albums “His and Hers” (1994) and “Different Class” (1995). From the latter came the singles “Common People”, “Disco 2000” and “Miss Shapes” which went on to be enormous hits which will be the reflection of an entire generation.
After leaving Pulp, Jarvis Cocker was not inactive for long. He was involved in turn in extremely interesting collaborations with artists as varied as Marianne Faithfull, Aphex Twin, Air and even Charlotte Gainsbourg.
His first solo album was released in October 2006 and simply called “Jarvis”. Musically similar to his last performances with Pulp, “Jarvis” further consolidates the incomparable style of its creator.
Come to see him (again) on 3 June next in the Club!
