Welsh rock legends Funeral for a Friend will conquer the stage of the Rockhal Club for the second time on 19 May 2011. With their infectious energy, driving heaviness and choruses more contagious than a common cold, they will reveal everyone how much they evolved in the last years.

Over the course of the last decade Funeral For A Friend changed British rock music forever. A bold and brave, yet undeniably true statement. The band’s journey from hardcore roots and self-made shows to major label records and worldwide tours has built a long and prosperous road that many home-grown bands from across the alternative spectrum have been travelling along ever since.

It would be easy to understand if Funeral For A Friend chose to retreat into the comforts of nostalgia as their ten year anniversary draws near. But, instead of seeking solace in the memories of past triumphs the band is surprising everyone with their stunning new album Welcome Home Armageddon.

For singer Matthew Davies-Kreye the band’s fifth album is more than just the next chapter in their story, it is the start of a whole new book. The band members are stretching themselves creatively and exploring uncharted musical territory. They are re-exploring the raucous spirit of their earliest work, but investing it with the melodic lessons that they've learnt in the intervening period. Their riffs are as furious and intricate as they have ever been and their choruses as catchy.

Being joined by their Welsh peers The Blackout, one of the hottest new rock acts in the UK, this show at Rockhal Club on the 19 May is a must-see for every hardcore fan.
