Review

As a worthy representative of their self-created style, Nine Inch Nails have become a veritable institution and without a doubt they are one of the most influential rock bands of the last two decades. On 09 July next the band is to play in Luxembourg for the very first time, at the Rockhal’s Main Hall. Expect an extraordinary event!

Nine Inch Nails were founded in 1987 and this band was, and will always stay the creation and work of one single man: Trent Reznor.

During about ten years, Reznor made his creature follow the rhythm of his own life. In the beginning there was the cold and martial electro sound of “Pretty Hate Machine”, the first album released in 1989, followed by raging guitars on “Broken” (1992). Public acknowledgment came with “The Downward Spiral” in 1994. The calm atmosphere of the 1999 double album “The Fragile” finally raised Nine Inch Nails to the status of an absolute reference in industrial rock.
In 2002, Reznor released “And all that could have been”, a live album which is a demonstration of the unbelievable power given off by Nine Inch Nails on stage.

Nine Inch Nails’ great comeback album “With Teeth” (released in 2005) earned them another no 1 position in the U.S. charts and two years later, the louder and more conceptual “Year Zero” came out.
In 2008, after having left their label, Nine Inch Nails published “Ghosts I-IV”, an instrumental album with 36 pieces that are only available online. Just a few months later the new record, “The Slip”, was issued for free via the band’s official web site. In July 2008 a CD version of the same album was released.

After having begun a U.S. tour in spring, the band is to play some concerts in Europe during the summer (including several big festivals). Nevertheless, this legendary band is going to hit the stage at the Rockhal’s Main Hall on 09 July next.
Do not miss them because rumor has it that this one could very well be Nine Inch Nails’ last tour!
