If there are guitar players on this planet who are legends, SLASH (together with Jimi Hendrix and Eddie Van Halen) is certainly part of the league of super heroes. After GUNS N’ ROSES and VELVET REVOLVER, SLASH is back with an eponymous solo album. On 5th July next, SLASH will make the Rockhal go down in rock history, without special effects, only with the power of his magical guitar sound…

Our hatted super hero was born on 23rd July, 1965, and discovered his guitar talent when he was only 14 years old. After some early tries, twenty years later, he met the emblematic figure of the American eighties hard rock. His name was Axl Rose, and Guns N’ Roses were born…

It was a frenzied cooperation, and their success was overwhelming! Guns N’ Roses invaded the entire planet with their first album, “Appetite for Destruction” (1987). Their two other records, “Use Your Illusion I” and “Use Your Illusion II” marked an entire generation and confirmed that from now on, Guns N’ Roses from Los Angeles ruled the rock universe. But not for long: SLASH left Axl, but he couldn’t let go of his beloved guitar. His Les Pauls and B-Riches accompanied him through many projects and cooperations (Queen, Michael Jackson, Lenny Kravitz, Alice Cooper, Bob Dylan…). SLASH has backed and valorized the crème de la crème. In 2007, the second best guitar player ever (according to Time Magazine) published his autobiography and speaks about his wish to record a solo album.

And on 6th April, 2010, the time had come! Meanwhile, Slash had become a video game hero (his avatar is also the symbol of the video game Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock) and pulled his first, eponymous solo album out of his hat. He’s invited lots of friends such as Steven Tyler of Aerosmith, Dave Grohl (former Nirvana) and Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas.

Now he’s got his famous double necked guitar in the trunk of his SLASHMOBILE and is getting ready for some selected concerts. On 5th July, 2010, SLASH will be at the Rockhal and present his solo album…get prepared for heavy riffs and the re-establishment of power relations in the world of Rock!
