It was the fastest sell out in Luxembourg ever. When presales started at 08h00 this morning, the demand for tickets was unbelievable. All presale systems including the national online payment system CETREL temporarily faced a system overload. Also the Rockhal website, as major link for fans from all over the world, went offline due to this heavy traffic, facing more than 35.000 visitors. Ticket sales were as fast as the systems could handle the traffic, so it took 3 hours until all tickets were gone, the main ticketing system Luxembourg Ticket already sold out it’s contingent after 40 minutes.The Rockhal wants to apologize to all who tried to access its website without success and recommends to those who weren’t lucky to get their tickets for the 6th May the shows at TW Classic (June 20th) and Nancy (June 28th) as well as the tour in Germany.

C'est le deuxième concert à Luxembourg apres 1982 pour ce groupe dont le 12ème album,« Sounds of the Universe », est attendu pour le 20 avril prochain.

Considéré comme l’un des groupes les plus influents de la période post-punk avec des ventes d’albums excédant les 100 millions, Depeche Mode fait partie d’une sélection de « supergroupes » ayant survécu aux années 80 grâce notamment à leur vision créative.  Formé en 1981, Depeche Mode –Martin Gore, Dave Gahan et Andy Fletcher– continue de récolter un succès tant commercial que live ; le groupe étant réputé pour ses prestations lives exceptionnelles.

« Sounds of the Universe », 12ème album de Depeche Mode est attendu pour le 20 avril ; « Wrong », premier single, sortira, quant à lui, le 6 avril.Depeche Mode à Luxembourg, c’est l’événement incontournable de 2009 !
