After their phenomenal show at den Atelier in May 2007, The Smashing Pumpkins are set for a triumphant return to the Grand Duchy! The Smashing Pumpkins started off as one of the most commercially successful and critically acclaimed bands of the 1990s. Billy Corgan, Jimmy Chamberlin, James Iha and D'Arcy Wretzky became superstars by fashioning an amalgam of progressive rock, metal, goth, psychedelia and dream pop, creating a layered, powerful sound driven by swirling, distorted guitars. After a hiatus of six years, The Smashing Pumpkins have reformed and are releasing their new album The Other Side Of The Kaleidyscope. The band is preparing to embark on a major European tour this autumn and Luxembourg is on the map once again. Expect a most glamourous set – including the band’s greatest hits such as Tonight, Tonight, Tonight or 1979 – by one of the most flamboyant alternative acts in rock music!
