MAX GAZZÈ - MAXIMILIAN European Tour 2016
Max Gazzè (born 6 July 1967 in Rome, Italy) is an italian singer-songwriter and musician. He is known for his high-pitched voice. He is also a member of the trio Fabi Silvestri Gazzè with Niccolò Fabi and Daniele Silvestri.
Max Gazzè was born in Rome, his father was from the Province of Ragusa. He emigrated to Belgium in 1982 where he spent his childhood, his father being a diplomat at the embassy of Italy, and he studied at the European School. At the age of 6 he started learning piano, and at 14 dedicated himself to bass guitar and begins to perform with groups in Brussels' clubs. From 1985-1990 he played with a number of Jazz fusion, funk and Rock bands around Europe (including 4Play4), with musicians such as Russell Jarrett, Michel Morvan, Alister Tomes and Simon Jarrett.
In 2005 Max Gazzè toured with Gizmo, a Police cover band, with Stewart Copeland on drums. Gazzè has been writing songs and touring Italy and Europe ever since while writing the soundtrack of several generations in Italy.
The following releases „Tra l’Aratro e la Radio“, „Quindi?“ and „Sotto Casa“ with high quality likeable as well as ironic pop music proved to be hits on Italian radios which played Gazzè’s songs in heavy rotation.
In 2014 Gazzè released with two of his friends and musicians Daniele Silvestri and Niccolò Fabi the number one hit album „Il Padrone della Festa“, which the trio presented live on a sold out European tour.
The current album „Maximilian“ (Universal) has once more become a huge hit in Italy and will be released in the rest of Europe in May during Gazzè’s tour.
