➡️ Le vendredi 16 juillet, l'agence KONEKTIS sera à l'honneur avec au programme:
NICOOL x MAYA MAUNET X CULTURE THE KID
- NICOOL: Her debut album “Den Ufank vum N”, released in summer 2019, marks the start of Nicool’s rap career. In collaboration with local hip hop record label De Läbbel, she created the 11-track album serving you a sweet mix of controversy, a blend of sarcasm topped with one teaspoon of De Läbbel influence! She worked together with various beat makers and artists from Luxembourg (i.e. 8Cee, BTM, Nick Sauber, to name a few). As one of the first female rappers in Luxembourg, she added more fuel to the fire in early 2020 by releasing her stand-alone music single "Stolz", referring to the topic of gender equality, while pointing out the hypocrisy that often still comes along with these topics, stating that not everything is simply black and white - no matter from what perspective you want to look at it. Only two months after releasing her single "Stolz", she dropped her most recent single "8002 6002" featuring french rapper Dany Le Loup - promoting the emergency number 8002 6002, providing a safe haven for young people out on streets who have been forced to leave their homes. She gained a strong Luxembourgish following over the years and she guarantees to get the crowd going at every gig!
- MAYA MAUNET: For Maya Maunet, music wasn’t just a creative outlet, it was a necessity. It was her only form of self expression. Growing up Maya spent a lot of her time working through a stutter, quickly coming to the realization the only way she could communicate freely was through singing. Working through this stammer and shedding the negative energy around her Maya has been able to come into her own through music and songwriting. At 20 years old Maya explores her own confidence, growing up and the love for the people and animals she surrounds herself with through song. Merging a wide range of influences from Blackstreet, Rihanna, Ne-Yo, Mary J. Blige, and a deep love for horror films, Maya arrives onto the music scene with a bold, refined and powerful sound, ready to be an inspiration for other young black girls and artists who still do not get the recognition they deserve.
