SCREAMING FIELDS SONG CONTEST - BEHIND THE SCENES

For the third edition of the Screaming Fields Song Contest, Rocklab partnered with the Ministry of Equality between Women and Men (MEGA) in order to challenge young singer-songwriters and producers to prove their creativity and come up with a song around the notions of democracy and gender equality in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the introduction of women's right to vote in Luxembourg.

A jury composed of local musicians (IRINA, ROME, Bartleby Delicate, Ptolomea), local press (Eldoradio, 100,7) as well as representatives from the Rockhal and the Ministry of Equality between Women and Men rewarded Francis of Delirium’s ‘Equality Song’ with the winner package, enabling the artist to achieve her creative project. Faithful to its supporting mission, the Rocklab assisted the artist throughout the various stages of the song production.
The song was recorded at Rockhalstudio, with the art and craft of local sound engineer and producer Charles Stoltz and mastered by Tom Gatti of Unison Studios in Differdange. In addition, a music video was shot at the Rockhal and produced by Skill Lab Creative Studio.

Standart Agency accompanied the artist behind the scenes and talked to Olivier Toth (CEO, Rockhal), Jana Bahrich (Francis of Delirium) and Taina Bofferding (Minister of Equality between Women and Men) about the Screaming Field Song Contest. Watch it HERE!
